About the Institution

A continental institution built for the digital age — with global reach.

HTC Africa is a non-profit institution headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria, with a pan-African mandate and global engagement. We exist to accelerate the responsible development of technology across Africa — through rigorous research, policy advisory, talent development, and the institutional architecture that makes continental ambition operational.

We convene heads of state, ministers, university leaders, founders, civil society, and international partners around a single proposition: that Africa's technology future will be built by Africans, in partnership with the world — and that the institutions doing this work must meet the standards of the best of them, anywhere.

What We Stand For

01

African Sovereignty

Technology systems designed, governed, and operated by Africans — without ceding strategic capacity to anyone.

02

Intellectual Rigour

Research that meets the standards of the world's most respected institutions. No advocacy without evidence.

03

Practical Impact

Programmes that produce measurable outcomes — trained talent, adopted policy, scaled ventures — not white papers alone.

04

Global Engagement

Partnering with the best institutions globally on terms that advance Africa's interests and the world's.

By The Numbers

Measurable change, across the continent

Five years of patient institution-building. The metrics speak for themselves — but the substance is the work behind them.

Africa will not be a passive consumer of artificial intelligence — we will be its architects, its governors, and its most thoughtful critics.
